Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)
How is a Face lift performed?
A face lift provides the patient with a more youthful and rested look to the neck and the face. The recovery from a facelift depends on the looseness of the skin and the quality of the underlying skin. Every patient is different and their skin reacts differently during the healing phase. Dr. Soler performs a face lift under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. You will leave the hospital with your neck and face wrapped in dressings which is usually removed the next day. Any initial discomfort is very minimal and easily controlled with oral medication that Dr. Soler will prescribe to you. Within 14 days from the surgery, the sutures are removed and the swelling or bruising settles within ten to twenty days. The results of your facelift are evident within 4 to 6 weeks of the procedure and these continue to improve over the following months
Is a Face lift covered by insurance?
It is important to note that a face lift surgery is categorized as a cosmetic procedure and is hence not covered under insurance. You are responsible for complete payments for your facelift and any other procedures you get performed in conjunction with your face lift. Common surgeries may be neck lift, eyelid surgery, or rhinoplasty. Any associated risks or suitability of the procedure need to be discussed with Dr. Soler during the one on one consultation at his Tampa office. As always, there are minor risks associated with surgery. It is very unusual to face any major complications when getting a facelift. Dr. Soler will go over your personal goals for getting a facelift and any associated risks involved during your consultation. Dr. Soler serves patients from all over Southwest Florida. His office is located just outside of downtown Tampa, FL. Call today to schedule your meeting with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Soler to see if a face lift is right for you.
