Dr. Joseph Aguiar is a board-certified plastic surgeon. With more than 20 years experience Dr. Joseph Aguiar recently closed his private practice to return to his passion of caring for our Veterans at James Haley VA Hospital in Tampa.
While Dr. Aguiar will no longer be performing Private Practice Plastic Surgery procedures, he will still be offering injectable services such as Botox and Dermal Fillers monthly at Soler Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, only minutes from his previous office.
Dr. Aguiar always has his patient’s best interest in mind first and foremost. He always strives to provide his patient with the best possible outcome while meeting their expectations. He even has a formula to help patient’s achieve their goals.

Dr. Aguiar has also completed fellowships and continuing education in plastic surgery, breast surgery, microsurgery, maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, fat grafting, and rhinoplasty.
Dr. Aguiar earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa’s College of Medicine in 1991, completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, his Plastic Surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center, and his Hand Surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Fluent in Portuguese, Dr. Aguiar trained with world renowned plastic and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a member of the Florida Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Tampa Bay Plastic Surgery Society.
