How Is a Rhinoplasty Procedure Performed?
Dr. Soler performs rhinoplasty under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Any initial discomfort after the surgery is controlled using oral medicine. Most of the bruising and swelling subsides gradually over a period of two to four weeks after surgery. You will see some results of the surgery showing up within about three weeks, but the complete result will be evident in about a year or 14 months following surgery. To make the nose more symmetrical with the rest of the face, other procedures may be performed in conjunction with a rhinoplasty, such as a facelift or ear surgery.
